Supreme Perlite horticultural grade perlite helps plants achieve vigorous growth by maintaining balanced air and moisture levels in the soil and resisting compaction in the rootzone. Adding 1/3 parts perlite to your soil gives it structure and introduces pore spaces which boost its capacity to store water and nutrients. Horticultural perlite stores up to 8x its weight in plant-available water, while creating pathways for the exchange of air, water and nutrients, and allowing excess moisture to drain out.

Expanded perlite is made exclusively from naturally occurring perlite ore (volcanic glass). It is lightweight, sterile, weed free, chemically inert, durable, incombustible, rot and vermin resistant, asbestos-free and pH neutral. Use it for propagating from seed or cuttings, soil conditioning, hydroponics, custom blended potting mixes, enhancing store-bought potting mixes, rejuvenating compacted soil or garden beds, planting trees or shrubs, hanging baskets, container growing, improving drainage, tuber storage, cactus mixes, orchid mixes, and more!

Directions for use: Use as a standalone propagation or hydroponic growing medium or combine it with other ingredients to make high quality potting soil. Mix perlite with peatmoss, coco coir, compost, or other ingredients to make soilless growing media or till it gently into field soils and garden beds to break up dense clay, improves structure, and increase air or water-holding compacity.

Handling Recommendations: Care should be taken to avoid creating unnecessary dust when emptying bag. Perlite can cause irritation of the eyes, nose, throat, and skin. Wear  NIOSH approved dust mask and eye protection. Wear gloves and wash hands after handling gardening products to reduce the risk of irritation.
