Alfalfa Meal 2.0-0.5-2.5 is a plant-based nutrient that's derived from sun-cured, non-genetically modified alfalfa that is milled while fresh to preserve the highest of plant nutrient.
It's recommended for all vegetables, herbs, roses, flowers and shrubs. Also use as a mulch for the planting and growing stages of your plant's life.
May be used as a compost bioactivator due to its remarkable nitrogen to carbon ratio.

Conversions: 3.5 cups = 1 lb; 1/2 cup = 2 oz; 1 Tbsp = 0.5 oz
Suggested application rates:
Vegetable Gardens and Flower Beds
¤ Small: apply 2-4 Tbsp per sq ft, thoroughly mix into the top 3" of soil.
¤ Large: apply 5 - 10 lbs per 100 sq ft, thoroughly mix into the top 3" of soil.
¤ Transplants: add 1 - 2 Tbsp per hole, mix into soil and water well.
¤ Established: side dress 1/2 cup once each month during the growing season to promote plant growth.
Roses
¤ New shrubs: add 1/2 - 1 cup per hole, thoroughly mixing into soil and water well.
¤ Existing shrubs: apply 1/2 - 1 cup per plant in early spring, thoroughly mixing into the soils surface.
¤ Repeat application when blooms appear and again in fall at half the rate.
Containers
¤ New: add 2 - 4 Tbsp per gallon of soil, mixing thoroughly (or add 5 lbs per cubic yard).
¤ Established: lightly mix 1 - 2 Tbsp per gallon into the soil surface once each month during the growing season.
Trees and Shrubs
¤ New trees: prepare transplant hole by mixing 1 - 2 cups into the back fill soil; use the amended soil to fill in around the new tree and water well.
¤ Existing: spread up to 1 lb per 2" of trunk diameter around the base outwards to the drip line, mix into soil surface and water well.
