Organic Shrimp Meal 6-6-0 is an excellent all-purpose fertilizer from ground Pacific NW shrimp shells! It enriches new garden soils and compost piles.
Shrimp Meal is rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and calcium and is a safe, effective and wonderful to use on all types of vegetable and flower gardens as well as herbs.
As a valuable by product, Shrimp Meal will break down rapidly in your soil to promote vigorous plant growth and development. Rich in chitin, it helps plants develop healthy immune responses and stimulates the growth of beneficial soil micro-organisms.

Conversions: 10 cups = 1 lb; 1/4 cup = 0.4 oz; 1 Tbsp = 0.1 oz 
Suggested application rates:
Vegetable Gardens and Flower Beds
¤ New: apply 2 lbs per 100 sq ft, thoroughly mix into the top 3" of soil.
¤ Transplants: add 1 - 2 Tbsp per hole, mix into soil and water well.
¤ Established: side dress 2 - 4 oz depending on plant size and desired growth rate, once each month during the growing season.
Containers
¤ New: apply 1 - 2 Tbsp per gallon of soil, thoroughly mix (or 10 lbs per cubic yard).
¤ Established: side dress 1 - 2 Tbsp per gallon of soil, mix thoroughly into soil surface, once each month during the growing season.
Trees and Shrubs
¤ New trees: prepare transplant hole by mixing 1 - 2 cups into the back fill soil; use the amended soil to fill in around the new tree and water well.
¤ Existing: spread 1 - 2 lbs per 1" of trunk diameter around the base outwards to the drip line, mix into soil surface and water well.
Row Crops / Acreage
¤ Apply 500 - 1,000 lbs per acre depending on specific crop needs or required pounds of actual nutrients per acre.
