Red Wiggler Composting Worms

Want quick turn around on your compost? The Red Wiggler Composting Worms (Eisenia fetida) are the most voracious eaters of all worms, making them the #1 composting worm.  By nature, they are able to eat up to their own weight in food each day preferring vegetation decay and compost.  They're known as a leaf-litter worm, living in the top 3-6" of the soil, doing best living in the litter covering the top soil or soils rich in organic matter.  They are an excellent composting worm choice due to their adaptability and tolerance to a wide range of temperatures.

Red Wiggler Worms quickly process your food scraps and organic waste into an all-natural, nutrient-rich cast which saves you time and money.  These worms are also known as: red worms, brandling worms, panfish worms, trout worms, tiger worms, blood worms and manure worms.  They are a smaller worm variety, averaging 1-3" long with a skinnier or thinner diameter than most of the worms you'd see in your yard.

There are roughly 1000 worms in a 1lb bag, 500 worms in a 1/2lb bag and 250 in a 1/4lb bag. Please remember that worms will roughly double their numbers every 90 days.
