Metro-Grower Elite is your answer to reducing your watering plant time?
The Metro-Grower™ Elite solves the persistent problems of growing in a container. It is a compact, sub-irrigation growing system, watering plants from the bottom up as nature intended. It can be used anywhere - a patio, balcony, backyard, or even inside during the cold months.
The Metro-Grower's sub-irrigation watering design allows for a Permanent Airspace that is created under the soil separator between the soil above and the water reservoir below. It takes the guesswork out of watering with its exposed water reservoir; you can see exactly how much or how little water your crop desires.
You provide three gallons of organic compost or good garden soil. The kit comes with organic soil amendments and fertilizer allowing you to produce a biologically diverse and balanced living soil mix. Our testing has shown proven results that our mix out performs all major organic soil mixes, including synthetic fertilizers like Miracle Grow.
Constructed of UV protected food-grade plastic, it's made in America and comes with a 5-year limited warranty.
Why the Metro-Grower Elite:
¤ compact and portable, 6-gallon size
¤ self-watering upward into the root system to encourage strong, healthy roots
¤ ability to grow your own food in small urban spaces
¤ utilizes "air pruning" (which is exposing the root tips to the airspace underneath the soil separator, slowing downward growth and stimulating further growth of secondary roots that branch out within the soil)
The kit includes:
¤ growing container, soil separator and watering tray
¤ set of seed trays
¤ 1.75 gallons dry, screened coir containing trace minerals
¤ 1 gallon volcanic pumice
¤ 1.5 cups vermicompost
¤ 1.3 cups SoilKey
¤ 1 brick of coir mulch
¤ 1 bag mycorrhizae
¤ an instruction manual and DVD
¤ warranty card
The instruction manual illustrates how to grow vegetables vertically, including squash, cucumbers, beans or peas. It is also ideal for the standards like tomatoes, strawberries, ornamental plants and more!
"Circling roots are 'burned' off or pruned when exposed to AIR, causing the plant to constantly produce new and highly branched roots." ~ Washington State University.
