Instructions For Brewing Worm Tea
Assemble your Tea Brewer of choice.
- Fill your Tea Brewer with 5 Gallons of non-chlorinated water.
*If non-chlorinated water is not available fill container with water let sit for 24 hours prior to brewing*
- Heat water. Microbes grow best in water temperatures between 70-85 degrees.
*Water temps less than 65 degrees make it difficult for microbes to grow in high numbers.*
- Add 1 packet of Molasses into the water and mix thoroughly until dissolved.
- Place 1 Tea Bag into Tea Brewer and secure to the side.
*You do not want the Tea Bag to fall to the bottom of the Tea Brewer*
- Plug in Tea Brewer and and make sure the air bubbles are breaking the surface tension of the water in the Tea Tank.
- Run the Tea Brewer for at least 24 hours or until the molasses has been used up by the microbes.
*A new batch of Tea will smell sweet like molasses. When the molasses is used up it will smell like fresh earth or worm castings.
- Must use tea within 24 hours of brewing for the best results.
*If the Worm Tea has a foul smell to it then it has expired and it is best to dispose of the remaining tea.
- Don’t forget to clean your Tea Brewer after every use.
